Balneário Camboriú gets 1st International Film Festival in November
Cinerama.BC brings Brazilian and international films to Santa Catarina, and lectures debates and workshops.
Balneário Camboriú will stage the newest film festival in Brazil. Long national and international short films, lectures, debates and workshops on film production part of the official program of the CINERAMA.BC – 1st International Film Festival between the 11th and 15th November at the Cine Italy. The event will also feature the Museum of Cinema, one undertaken in partnership with the Italian Cinema Events Center, which opens to the public one of the largest collections of movie projectors in Brazil.
The director Beto Brant, producer and director Renato Ciasca, actress Paula Braun, director Patricia Moran, documentarian André Costa and director of the Museum of Image and Sound, Andrew Sturm, some of the names are confirmed in the first edition of the festival. Among the highlights of the launch issue is the projection of foreign films never before seen in Brazil as “My Little Princess”, Eva Ionesco, with Isabelle Hupert in the cast, “Tomboy” by Céline Sciamma / “9 Months 9 Days” Oscar Ramirez Gonzales, and “Le Syndrome du Titanic” by Nicolas Hulot and Jean-Albert Lievre.
Among the Brazilian films are the new work by Beto Brant and Renato Ciasca, “I received the worst news of His Beautiful Lips” and the documentary “Walt Disney Square”, Renata Oliveira and Sérgio Pinheiro. The CINERAMA.BC will also feature the International Exhibition of Films in New Media, which seeks to focus on new means of production and new media audiovisual exhibition. The film sessions are open to the public and will cost R$ 16.00 (full) and R$ 8.00 (half Cinerama.BC and partners). To become a member just by placing the event website for free www.cineramabc.com
